Education Through
Empathic Understanding
Applied in Sports

SEISA's education through empathic understanding is applied in sports as well. Students interact with each other, share happiness as they see results of their training, and shed tears of joy. It is important to aim for the top; however, winning is not our only concern. We think and discuss with our fellow teammates on how we could win. These processes help our students to understand their roles, respect their teammates and accept each other. In addition, they recognize that they can't perform as athletes without other's support.
Confidence and trust that are built by sports, also give students positive influences on their studies and other aspects of their school life.

SEISA’s Schools of All over Japan Engaged in Sports / Club Activities

Sports are the key elements at all of our SEISA schools. Aside from the events like Inter-High School Sports Festival and Kanto Tournament that our full time students participate in and All Japan Evening and Correspondence High School Sports Tournament. This kind of participations is possible at a school like SEISA, where we value students’ interaction with each other.

And the school is furnished with the latest fencing training facilities.Similar to SEISA Kokusai High School Yokohama, we also have many exchange programs with other students, and our school is characterized by a natural atmosphere of open-mindedness.

SEISA Junior High Schools and High Schools

All SEISA junior and senior high schools across the country accept students who are athletes. In the high school program, in addition to the full-time high school competitions, we also emphasize the importance of the part-time and correspondence high school competitions for students who quit school in halfway, wanted to try again or those who wanted to try out for the first time. Every year, more than 100 athletes from across the country compete in a variety of sports. Besides, SEISA High School's gate ball club is one of the unique club activities with a focus on interaction with the local community and senior citizens.

SEISA Dohto University

Historically, the school has had a number of club activities representing Hokkaido, and has also produced professional players, such as Suguru FUKUDA (Nippon-Ham), who joined the professional baseball team in 2019, and Tokito KAWAMURA (Lotte), who will join the team in 2020. The quality of club activities is also evident in the improvement of social skills. One of the most surprising and admired things by visitors to SEISA Dahto University is the energetic and refreshing greetings of students who visit the school. The basis and model for this is the daily routines and habits of students in sports activities.

SEISA University

We are the only distance learning university in Japan to offer a license in health and physical education. We emphasize the importance of providing a natural, lifelong way of learning and learning that puts the learner at the center, just like picking up a book and reading it while working and living. Particularly in sports, the Second Career Project (SCP) has been developed with an eye toward post-retirement life, providing support for students to obtain a university diploma or the teachers’ licenses while they are still playing sports. A number of student-athletes, including national and professional athletes in various sports, are studying at the SEISA University.
