Support Activities After the Great East Japan Earthquake

Ever since the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, Foundation for Global Children has been sending daily necessities to the areas affected by the earthquake. Even now, we are continuing our support activities at the local communities. Currently, we are providing mental and emotional care for the students in the elementary and junior high schools in Minami Soma City.

Educational Environment
Support Team (EEST)

SEISA Group's instructors, teachers, psychologists and school couselors provide mental care for children. At the same time, we have also developed a children's support network. We have provided mental care in Soma City from 2011 to 2015, in Odaka Area in Minami Soma City since 2012, and at all the junior high schools in Minami Soma City since 2014.

Medical Support Team (MST)

Having Dr. Kami Masahiro, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Japan Governance Research Institute (formerly from the Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo, Division of Social Communication System for Advanced Clinical Research Center), as our leader, other research groups such as the Kameda General Hospital (Kamogawa city, Chiba Prefecture), Tokiwakai Jyoban Hospital (Iwaki City), and SEISA group cooperated with each other to conduct informational meetings regarding radiation and health consultations as we try to understand the situation and the issues they are facing.

“Letʼs Go to the Northern Land” Project

Children from Fukushima Prefecture are invited to Ashibetsu City in Hokkaido Prefecture, the home for beautiful stars, to enjoy winter sports. Ashibetsu City and FGC worked together to plan and conduct the program. As of 2018, 475 children in total have participated in this program.
